Anastasia Beverly Hills Mini Metallic Liquid Lipstick Set Review

Anastasia Beverly Hills (ABH) has glistened our holiday season with this adorable set! This lip trio is pigmented, dries to a metallic-matte finish, and is most certainly smudge proof. The shades include Blizzard (a gorgeous iridescent lip topper, or a stand-alone shade), Phantom (a deep, metallic cranberry) and Mai Tai (a dynamic, metallic gold). Just as the other ABH liquid lipstick formulas, this set did not disappoint.

This set provides a gorgeous finish to the lips, which is not drying, and feels almost weightless on the lips. The color range is quite unique and makes for a beautiful addition to a makeup lover’s collection. This is a beautiful set for the holidays and would look dazzling on many skin tones. My personal favorite was Phantom, as the coverage and pigmentation of this shade was extraordinary. I really enjoyed this year’s set!

This set retails for $25 USD, which is $8.33 USD per each lipstick. The size is quite generous and most certainly (unless you will be wearing metallics on a consistent basis) you won’t be running out of product. Considering that a full size of the ABH liquid lipstick is $20 USD, this is a wonderful value, and the chance to try out products from the ABH line.

All three of the lipsticks are very pigmented. Blizzard is more of an iridescent glitter, which would be best served on top of a lip stick or something with color. Otherwise, I certainly think that these shades are winners, and a great way to spice up holiday makeup looks.

These dry quickly, but there were no issues with patchiness or an inability to coat the lips with the same shade. I read that we could even mix these shades for custom lip color. The darkest color Phantom was difficult to remove from my lips. This is a positive if you’re planning to eat oily food, or if you’re concerned about wearing dark lipstick (lipstick on the teeth). There won’t be any issues here.

Final thoughts

At first, I was unsure of how these colors would look on me, when I saw the shades online. After trying them on, and experiencing the pigmentation, longevity and comfort of wearing these, I am sold. I love that my lips don’t feel like they are dry and that I can easy re-apply the formula if need be, and not be concerned with patchiness or unevenness. I find that during the holidays, is the best time to try out brands and products that normally would cost double the price. Minis are the perfect way to build up a makeup collection!
