Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina Eyeshadow Palette Review

Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina Eyeshadow Palette Review

The ABH Norvina Eyeshadow Palette ($42USD/$55CAD) features 14 stunning eyeshadows, encompassed in the famous Anastasia Beverly Hills’ outer velvet packaging. Norvina Soare, the president of Anastasia Beverly Hills designed this palette to her personal go-to look. The palette itself is indeed “whimsical” and encompasses some dazzling warm and cool tones.

If I had to explain how these colors made me feel, I would say ‘happy’. — Norvina Soare, Brand President

The formula of these eyeshadows is buttery and soft, and you have to take care of how hard you press your brush into the pan. Although they are soft, they are full of pigment and rich intensity. This palette comes with matte, metallic, foiled, and duochrome eyeshadows. Half of the palette is matte, and there are about 2 cool colors in the purple tone range. The rest are in the pink, orange and neutral family.

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina Eyeshadow Palette works out to about $3.00 USD or $3.93 CAD (before tax) per 0.02 oz/0.74 g of eyeshadow. A full size eyeshadow single from Anastasia Beverly Hills retails for $12 USD/$16 CAD and weighs 0.059 oz/ 1.7 g. Without a doubt you do get more product in a single eyeshadow pan, in fact, each eyeshadow in the palette has less than half product of what a single eyeshadow has. However, if you were strictly interested in owning the 14 shades, it would cost you a whopping $168 USD/$224 CAD to buy the 14 colors in the single pans. For me personally, I don’t see myself going through the palette pans very quickly, and would prefer to have more variety than larger pans.

Final thoughts

This palette comes with extremely highly pigmented and high quality shades, which are perfect for a day look or for a dressier occasion. The Norvina palette is consistent in price with the other palettes, and personally this one is one of my favorites, as I enjoy shimmers and cool tones. Although there is quite a bit of fall out, the colors are easy to work with, are blendable, long lasting and are a dream to apply. This in my mind far outweighs the extra dust that you’ll have encounter. Like the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette, or the Soft Glam Palette, this palette has all the shades that you need to complete a full look. My recommendation is that this palette is well worth the investment!

PROS CONS
• Pigmented shades • Velvet case gets dirty quickly
• Transition/setting colors included • Fallout is present
• Mattes, shimmers and duochromes for a full look
• Price point per eyeshadow is reasonable
• Comes with a double ended brush/mirror
