The theme of July’s Boxycharm is Road Trippin. In this month’s Boxycharm I received the following items:
Dr. Brandt - No More Baggage ($42 USD/$55.23 CAD retail) Eye-de puffing gel, formulated with biomimetic technology, peptides and botanical extracts, guaranteed to visibly reduce undereye bags and dark circles.
This gel has a nice cooling sensation and certainly seems to have hydrated my under eye area. In terms of taking care of my dark circles, I haven’t seen a drastic change. Overall I was happy to try this and enjoy using this on days when I feel and look exhausted.
Tarte Cosmetics – Ready, Set, Radiant Skin Mist ($25 USD/$32.87 CAD retail) Antioxidant-packed cucumber, fruit & plant extract skin tonic. This mist delivers a dewy finish .Refresh dull, tired or sluggish feeling skin throughout the day, or use after your skincare routine.
I love that the smell of this mist is like a black tea. It feels refreshing and hydrating when I apply it to my face, and I see a bit of glow but nothing over powering. In terms of my makeup longevity, I haven’t seen an extreme improvement between this mist and any of my other makeup primers.
Wander Beauty – Unlashed Volume and Curl Mascara ($24 USD/$31.56 CAD retail) The Unlashed mascara volumizes, lengthens, strengthens and conditions your lashes while using a combination of gentle ingredients.
This mascara has very black pigmentation and has certainly managed to lengthen and separate my lashes. In terms of volume, I wasn’t seeing a whole lot of difference between this and my other mascaras. However, it was nice to try and looks great on my natural makeup days.
Note Cosmetics – Luminous Silk Compact Blusher ($11.99 USD/$15.77 CAD retail) Designed to work for all skin types, this luminous, paraben free blush adds natural color to your cheeks while preventing dryness, with its argan oil infused formula.
The blush is a gorgeous and pigmented orange shade, which is very flattering to my olive skin tone. I typically never wear blush so I am not sure how much use I will get out of this. In addition I am very sensitive to fragrance, and there is a strong cosmetic smell to this, that I don’t find alluring.
Chella Beauty – Eyebrow Crème ($26 USD/$34.19 CAD retail) This innovative eyebrow cream effortlessly defines and shapes your eyebrows with its creamy consistency, and built-in brush.
This eyebrow cream certainly is budge proof and stays on all day regardless of how hot or humid it is. The more product you apply, the darker it gets which is probably why Boxycharm thought this could be a nice universal product It isn’t my go-to brow product but I enjoyed trying it out.

Final thoughts
I enjoyed this month’s Boxycharm and thought that there were definitely some products that were intriguing. I loved trying out the Dr. Brandt eye gel, the Tarte mist and the Chella Beauty eyebrow cream. Living in Canada there are many brands such as Note Cosmetics or Chella Beauty which are not sold here. Shipping gets expensive and therefore it is nice to be able to try out a variety of products for a low price. I can’t wait for August’s Boxycharm!
