This is my review of the Boxycharm for the month of December, Boxycharm is a $21 USD ($21 USD+$5 USD for shipping to Canada) monthly subscription service, where you will receive 4 to 5 full size beauty items. They range from makeup, to skincare to beauty tools. The minimum value of each box is $100 USD. Recently Boxycharm introduced the BoxyLuxe, which comes with a minimum of 10 products, with a minimum retail value of $250! All you have to do is pay an additional $28.99 USD every 3 months, in addition to your $21 USD subscription. That means that every 3 months you get a BoxyLuxe. This was the second ever BoxyLuxe, and it definitely did not disappoint!
The theme of December’s Boxycharm is 'TIS THE SEA-SUN. In this month’s box, I received the following items:
LUXIE – ROSE GOLD COMPLETE FACE BRUSH SET ($65 USD)
Get a flawless look with your new, cruelty-free LUXIE brushes. This is an 8 piece set, with 3 face brushes and 5 eye brushes.
WOW, these brushes are soft and the bristles are perfect for blending! The face brushes have become my new every day, go-to brushes, as I apply foundation and blush. The eye brushes are certainly a nice-to have, but are not a staple in my current collection.
CRIMES OF BEAUTY – WRISTLET (+ PORTABLE CHARGER) ($22 USD)
The ultimate bag for beauty essentials on the go comes with a portable charger.
The bag and charger are very cute and nice to have. Thus far, I have had no issues with charging my phone. However, I am a bit surprised that this sort of item is in a beauty subscription, as I was expecting a beauty product such as makeup or skincare instead.
SPONGELLE – BODY WASH INFUSED BUFFER ($20 USD)
Spongelle’s Body Wash Infused Buffers will cleanse, exfoliate, massage and nourish.
This smells heavenly. I love the concept of having your soap and exfoliator in one. It makes my showers fun, and I feel very clean, with softer skin after I use this product.
ELEMIS – PRO COLLAGEN MARINE CREAM ($89)
Clinically proven to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, enhanced with a cocktail of seaweeds.
The smell is a bit over whelming, and so far I haven’t seen a dramatic result in the look and feel of my skin. It is a very moisturizing cream, and I enjoy using it during the winter when my face is dry.
VIOLET VOSS – PRO HG PALETTE ($45 USD)
Indulge in 20 highly pigmented eye shadow shades ranging in finish from creamy matte, to bold metallic and silky satin.
I own about 4 other Violet Voss pallets, and I must say that adding this one to my collection was truly wonderful. I love how creamy, pigmented, soft and buttery these eyeshadows are. My favorite product this month for sure.
GRANDE COSMETICS – GRANDEMASCARA ($25 USD)
Get extreme length and volume while promoting healthier lashes, enhanced with peptide, panthenols and natural waxes.
Lovely wand, and applies the perfect amount of mascara to my lashes. I feel that this is a great mascara for adding volume, but not so much for adding length. I am glad I had a chance to try out this brand.
WANDER BEAUTY – DUSK TO DAWN BLUSH & HIGHLIGHTER PALETTE ($26 USD)
The Wander Beauty Dusk to Dawn Palette offers two blushes and one highlighter.
The blushes are so stunning, and blend like a dream. The highlighter is too dark for my skin tone, so unfortunately I can’t use it. Overall, this was a cute addition.
TARTE – GLITTER LIP PAINT ($20 USD)
This sheer lip gloss is infused with shimmering glitter and delivers a luscious, multidimensional and high-shine finish.
Love the smell of these. I received a beautiful opaque lip gloss with micro glitters, I wear it over my lipstick when I need a little shine and it looks great and feel comfortable on the lips.
PYT – MINI HAIR STRAIGHTENER ($75 USD)
A mini hair straightener that reaches a maximum temperature of 400˚F or 204˚C.
I love how cute, and travel friendly this straightener is. Although the retail value is said to be $75 USD, I have come across other brands that do a great job for less the cost. Nevertheless, I got the pink one, and I’m happy!

Final thoughts:
This BoxyLuxe was absolutely amazing and well worth the $49.99 USD! All of the products performed well, and it was a very nicely curated box. I truly look forward to March’s BoxyLuxe as I am certain that I won’t be disappointed. As I have mentioned in my other reviews, the only thing I would truly appreciate (and I’m sure many subscribers would too) is if Boxy was able to customize the colors (lip sticks, eyeshadows) in the boxes to the preference of their subscribers. It is nice to have the opportunity to try out various products and not pay the high price tag associated with these designer beauty brands.
